Master of Fine Arts (Painting, Applied Arts)
A Master of Fine Arts, or MFA, is a terminal degree in the visual arts, performing arts, and creative writing. The curriculum of the program comprises classes that train students for jobs in college teaching, art history, writing about art, and gallery curating.
An MFA program typically includes a blend of practical studio work, art history, and theory. The MFA degree is almost always available in combination with a specialization, like MFA in Applied Arts, MFA in Painting, and MFA in Dancing. The MFA course includes various specializations, including painting, sculpture, photography, acting, filmmaking, design, visual communication, and more.
